(CNN) — A manhunt for a gunman is underway after at least 22 people were killed in two shootings at a bar and a bowling alley in Lewiston, Maine, a city councilor told CNN. The gunfire, which also left dozens injured, sent families running, forced a local hospital to call in off-duty staff for backup and prompted calls in three cities to stay indoors Wednesday night, authorities said.Robert Card, 40, is being sought as a person of interest in the shootings at the two locations, Lewiston police said around 11 p.m. ET, adding he “should be considered armed and dangerous.”“If people see him, they should not approach Card or make contact with him in any way,” Maine’s Department of Public Safety commissioner Mike Sauschuck said in Wednesday night news conference.Card is a certified firearms instructor and a member of the US Army Reserves, law enforcement officials in Maine told CNN. Slovakia’s newly elected Prime Minister Robert Fico today pledged to stop delivering weapons to Ukraine, just one day after taking office. The prime minister told lawmakers that Slovakia would “no longer supply weapons to Ukraine” and would only send humanitarian aid to Kyiv, according to French newswire AFP.“I will support zero military aid to Ukraine … An immediate halt to military operations is the best solution we have for Ukraine,” said Fico, who has had a fractious relationship with Ukraine going back over a decade. “The EU should change from an arms supplier to a peacemaker,” he added. Fico, who heads the leftist-populist Smer party, emerged as the clear winner in Slovakia’s general election in September, and was sworn in Wednesday as the head of a coalition government with the rightist-populist SNS party and the social-democratic Hlas party.Stopping arms deliveries to Ukraine — along with resisting further European sa...UN vs. Israel feud: UK’s Rishi Sunak slaps down António Guterres

LONDON — Senior members of the U.K. government have criticized United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, amid an escalating dispute between the top official and Israel over his comments on the conflict with Hamas.Israel has already called for Guterres to resign, after he said during a U.N. Security Council meeting Tuesday that Hamas’ attack on Israel “did not happen in a vacuum.” On Wednesday he sought to clarify those comments, adding that the “grievances of the Palestinian people cannot justify the horrific attacks by Hamas.”Speaking Thursday, Britain’s Deputy Prime Minister Oliver Dowden called on Guterres to further clarify his comments — a call which his boss, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, later backed.“I certainly don’t agree with the comments of the U.N. secretary-general as they have been reported,” Dowden told Times Radio. He added: “I understand they’ve been clarified subsequently, but there can be ab...Restaurant review: Koku Ramen

Rue Saint-Boniface 11, 1050 IxellesWhat’s good? The crispy, golden gyoza are served straight from the sizzling hot pan onto your platter. Let the crunchy veggie gyoza melt in your mouth, mixed with delicious salty soy sauce to make your taste buds explode. The ramen is served with a perfectly runny, yellow egg, a soy- or miso-based soup, nori and your choice of topping. Don’t make the mistake of eating all the broth first; it will fill you up immediately and you won’t have space to devour the freshly made noodles. To give your palate a little change from the umami, try Ramune — a very sweet Japanese lemonade that comes in different flavors — and which is so bubbly that it is sealed with a marble. What’s not? Avoid coming for a late lunch. We had to wait in line outside and were the last customers allowed in as the restaurant was just about to run out of fresh noodles and soup. This, obviously, is a good sign, pointing to the restaurant’s popularity!V...Rishi Sunak lays out vision for new global AI safety bodies
